Keith Yandle distributed three assists and Mike Smith stopped 17 shots for the Coyotes.

Jared Boll had a goal and an assist while Matt Calvert and Derek MacKenzie also scored for the Blue Jackets, which fell to 0-2 on a six-game road trip.
