NHL: Chicago 4, San Jose 1

CHICAGO, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Marcus Kruger and Niklas Hjalmarsson both scored a goal and an assist Friday to lead the surging Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-1 win over San Jose.

Dave Bolland and Andrew Shaw also scored in the win, which improved the Blackhawks to 11-0-3.

Ray Emery made 27 saves on 28 shots and foiled all four San Jose power plays.

Tim Kennedy scored in the second period for San Jose and Antti Niemi made 33 saves.

The Sharks are 0-4-3 since winning their first seven games of the season.

The game included 19 penalty minutes for the Sharks and 17 for the Hawks.
