VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jordan Schroeder scored his first two NHL goals and Cory Schneider made 33 saves Saturday, powering the Vancouver Canucks over Calgary 5-1.

Schroeder, a Minnesota native taken by the Canucks in the first round of the 2009 NHL draft, put in a go-ahead goal midway through the second period and also scored the final tally for Vancouver.

Kevin Bieksa and Alexandre Burrows each notched a goal and assist, while Daniel and Henrik Sedin provided two assists apiece as the Canucks surged to their fifth straight win.

Schneider made 14 of his saves in their period.

Lee Stempniak scored and Leland Irving -- subbing for the injured Miikka Kiprusoff -- was lit up for five goals on 31 shots for the Flames, whose two-game winning streak was snapped.
