PITTSBURGH, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- David Clarkson scored twice Sunday, providing the spark for the New Jersey Devils in their 3-1 victory over Pittsburgh.

Clarkson's tallies -- his eighth and ninth of the season -- boosted the Eastern Conference-leading Devils to a home-and-home weekend sweep of the Penguins.

Ilya Kovalchuk also scored and Johan Hedberg made 23 saves as the Devils posted their fifth consecutive victory overall.

Tomas Vokoun was touched for three goals on 23 shots as Pittsburgh was humbled by the Devils for a second time following a five-game winning streak.

James Neal provided Pittsburgh's only goal.
