MONTPELLIER, France, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Richard Gasquet got his second ATP title of 2013 with a straight-set win Sunday over Benoit Paire in the finals of the Open Sud de France tennis tournament.

Gasquet, seeded third in the tournament, rolled to a clear 6-2, 6-3 win over the No. 8-seeded Paire. It was his ninth ATP title overall and second this year. He won the season-opening event in Qatar last month.

Paire fell to 0-2 in championship matches.

Gasquet had breaks in the first and seventh games of the opening set and came out ahead of a series of three consecutive breaks in the second.

Even with losing his serve once, Gasquet dropped a mere eight points in eight games serving. He took half of the points when Paire served.

Gasquet collected about $99,000 along with the championship while Paire earned $52,000 as runner-up.
