NIS, Serbia, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Daniela Hantuchova of Serbia beat Bojana Jovanovski in Saturday's second singles match to even the Fed Cup series against the Slovak Republic 1-1.

Hantuchova knocked off Jovanovski 7-5, 6-2 to even the best-of-five series after Slovak Republic's Vesna Dolonc won by default when her opponent, Dominika Cibulkova, retired due to cramps.

Cibulkova was scheduled to play Jovanovski in Sunday's reverse singles matches.

Dolonc faces Hantuchova in singles play Sunday and is also penciled in for the Serbian doubles team along with Aleksandra Krunic.
