BOSTON, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- A scheduled game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins was postponed Saturday due to a blizzard in New England, the NHL said.

"Although both clubs and the assigned on-ice officials are in Boston, travel conditions remain too hazardous for fans, security personnel and TD Garden staff to get to the arena," the league said in a release.

A make-up date was not immediately determined.
