GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Patrick Kane scored two of Chicago's four first-period goals Thursday, both on the power play, igniting the Blackhawks to a 6-2 drubbing of Phoenix.

Chicago has won three in a row and has captured nine of its 11 games this season. Its only two losses have come in overtime, leaving the Blackhawks with a league-high 20 points.

Viktor Stalberg and Dave Bolland also scored for Chicago in the first period. Kane ran his season goal total to eight with his two tallies.

Jonathan Toews and Bryan Bickell added goals in the second period to make things easy for Ray Emery, who stopped 22 shots in the victory.

Mike Smith got the start in goal for the Coyotes, but he was removed after giving up all six goals on 22 shots. Jason LaBarbera made 11 saves the rest of the way.
