CLEVELAND, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Kyrie Irving launched Cleveland to a strong shooting performance Wednesday that brought the Cavaliers a 122-95 romp over Charlotte.

Cleveland rushed to a 24-point halftime lead and shot 56 percent for the game. Irving scored 22 points while making 8-of-12 from the field, Dion Waiters added 19 points and Tristan Thompson had 17. The Cavaliers have won back-to-back games.

Charlotte, loser of five in a row, was led by Byron Mullens with 15.

The 122 points were the most for the Cavaliers this season and their five victories in seven games represents their best stretch of success. Cleveland won just 10 times in its first 39 games.
