MONTREAL, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- David Desharnais and Rene Bourque each scored twice Saturday and the Montreal Canadiens won for the fifth time in six games with a 6-1 thrashing of Buffalo.

Lars Eller had a goal and two assists, and defenseman P.K. Subban -- who rejoined the team this week after holding out in a contract dispute -- recorded an assist in his first appearance of the season.

Carey Price earned the victory with 30 saves.

Buffalo's Ryan Miller was pulled from net in the third period after yielding four goals on 21 shots. Jhonas Enroth took over and let in two goals on 11 shots the rest of the way.

Leading NHL scorer Thomas Vanek collected the Sabres' only goal.
