MEMPHIS, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince hit two jumpers during a game-closing run Friday that highlighted his Memphis debut and helped bring the Grizzlies an 85-76 win over Washington.

The Wizards were within four points as the game headed into its final 4 minutes, but Memphis finished off the contest with a 9-4 burst.

Prince, obtained in a trade that sent Rudy Gay from Memphis to Toronto, hit 7-of-11 shots and scored 14 points while playing 32 minutes.

Ed Davis and Austin Daye, also obtained in the trade, saw limited action while making their first appearance for the Grizzlies.

Mike Conley led Memphis with 18 points while Marc Gasol had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Nene was the only Washington player in double figures with 14 points. Washington lost its third straight and remained stuck on 11 victories for the season, tied with Charlotte for the fewest in the NBA.
