PATTAYA, Thailand, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Rain forced all matches set for Wednesday at the WTA's PTT Pattaya Open in Thailand to be delayed.

Three first-round matches were suspended Tuesday because of the weather and now won't be completed until Thursday. The weather forecast for Thursday is more favorable, tournament officials said.

Top-seeded Ana Ivanovic was set to serve at 1-2 of the third set against Ayumi Morita when their first-round match was stopped Tuesday.

Two-time defending champion and sixth-seeded Daniela Hantuchova was leading Olga Puchkova 6-2, 1-0 when play was halted. No. 7-seeded Elena Vesnina faces Eleni Daniilidou in their yet to begin first-round match.

The winners of those matches will have to play a second time Thursday, as organizers have scheduled all eight second-round matches to also be contested Thursday.

The tournament quarterfinals are set for Friday with the semifinals Saturday and the title match on Sunday.
