LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard scored 24 points and Earl Clark added 20 and picked off a dozen rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past visiting New Orleans 111-106 Tuesday.
Kobe Bryant scored 14 points and added 14 assists, giving him three straight games in which he had 10 or more assists.
The Lakers, who won their third in a row, had 34 assists as a team to the Hornets' 21, and they won the rebounding battle 50-37.
Antwan Jamison scored 16 points off the bench for Los Angeles and Steve Nash tallied 12, while converting 3-of-4 shots from 3-point range.
New Orleans was led by Eric Gordon's 25 points. Gervis Vasquez added 15 points and 15 assists for the Hornets, who have lost three of their last four games.
