NHL: Tampa Bay 5, Florida 2

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Tom Pyatt scored the eventual game-winning goal and added an assist Tuesday, helping the Tampa Bay Lightning stay hot with a 5-2 win over Florida.

Pyatt's tally was the second of four straight markers racked up by the Lightning, who their fourth straight and improved to 5-1-0 to start the season.

Vincent Lecavalier, Cory Conacher and Dana Tyrell also had a goal and a helper each while Steven Stamkos added a score for the Bolts.

Anders Lindback earned the victory with 26 saves.

The Panthers, meanwhile, extended a slump that has now stretched to five consecutive losses.

Tomas Fleischmann and Peter Mueller scored and Jose Theodore was lit up for five goals on 33 shots for Florida.
