NHL: Montreal 4, Winnipeg 3

MONTREAL, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Tomas Plekanec netted a power-play goal in the third period to break a tie and lift the Montreal Canadiens to a fourth straight win, 4-3 over Winnipeg.

Brendan Gallagher tallied and added an assist as the Canadiens scored the final two goals of the game to erase a 3-2 deficit.

Erik Cole and also found the net to back Carey Price, who yielded three markers on 21 shots en route to the triumph.

The Jets, meanwhile, saw their three-game winning streak snapped despite a goal and an assist from Olli Jokinen.

Blake Wheeler and Nik Antropov scored and Ondrej Pavelec made 22 saves for Winnipeg.
