BOSTON, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce notched a triple-double and hit a go-ahead basket in the second overtime Sunday, helping Boston snap a six-game skid with a 100-98 win over Miami.
Pierce finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists as the Celtics logged their first win since Jan. 14 despite the absence of all-star guard Rajon Rondo.
Kevin Garnett contributed 24 points and 11 boards for Boston, which learned before the game that Rondo -- the NBA's leader in assists -- will likely miss the rest of the season with a torn knee ligament.
Jason Terry (13 points) and Jeff Green (11) also reached double figures in the Celtics' win.
LeBron James fired in 34 points, grabbed 16 rebounds, handed out seven assists and made three steals for Miami, which saw its four-game winning streak ended.
Ray Allen chipped in with 21 points off the bench while Dwyane Wade (17 points, seven assists) and Chris Bosh (16, 16 rebounds) also made big contributions in the Heat's loss.
