SUNRISE, Fla., Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Matt Read notched his first career hat trick and rookie Tye McGinn tallied his first NHL goal Saturday in the Philadelphia Flyers' 7-1 waltz over Florida.

McGinn -- a fourth-round pick by the Flyers in the 2010 draft -- scored on a deflection of a Braydon Coburn shot to cap a three-goal, first-period outburst for Philadelphia. He added an assist, while Ruslan Fedotenko and Luke Schenn each added a score and an assist for the Flyers, who recorded a second straight win following three consecutive regulation losses.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 30 saves.

Peter Mueller got the only marker for the Panthers, who tumbled for the fourth straight time.

Florida's Jose Theodore was pulled from net after yielding three goals on nine shots in the first period. Scott Clemmensen relieved and coughed up four goals on 17 shots.
