PHOENIX, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Luis Scola scored four points during a key 6-0 run in the fourth quarter Thursday, sending Phoenix to a 93-88 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers suffered their third straight loss and played their second game in a row without the services of Chris Paul, who has a bruised knee.

Phoenix held only a one-point lead as the game headed into its final 4 minutes, but Scola made back-to-back jumpers and Marcin Gortat scored on a reverse layup to give the Suns an 86-79 cushion.

Los Angeles again closed within one in the final minute, but eight Phoenix free throws in the final 23 seconds protected the lead.

Goran Dragic scored 24 points to lead Phoenix, Gortat contributed 15 points and both Scola and Markieff Morris had 14.

Jamal Crawford scored 21 for the Clippers, who will play five of their next six games on the road.
