MEMPHIS, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Marc Gasol's 20 points highlighted a 52-percent shooting performance Friday that allowed Memphis to slow down Brooklyn 101-77.

The Nets lost for just the second time in 14 games this month, hitting only 3-of-17 from 3-point range.

Seven Memphis players scored in double figures and the Grizzlies, winners of four of their last five, led by as many as 25 points in the first half.

Gasol went 10-of-15 from the field and produced all of his points during the opening two quarters. Mike Conley added 14 points and Zach Randolph had 12 points and nine rebounds.

Brooklyn point guard Deron Williams left the game in the third period with a quadriceps injury and did not return. Brook Lopez led the Nets with 18 points. Brooklyn had won the first two outings in a four-game road that concludes Saturday in Houston.

The Nets' only other loss in January came 10 days earlier at Atlanta.
