ST. LOUIS, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Jaroslav Halak was required to stop just 13 shots Thursday while recording his second shutout of the season and bringing St. Louis a 3-0 win over Nashville.

The Blues bounced back from their first loss of the campaign to improve to 3-1 with Halak producing the 24th shutout of his seven-year career. He had six shutouts last season and seven the year before that.

T.J. Oshie opened the scoring with a power-play goal just past the midway point of the first period. Patrik Berglund was awarded a penalty shot 9:26 into the second and he converted. Vladimir Tarasenko scored his fourth goal of the season with 10:56 to play in the third.

Pekka Rinne gave up the three goals on 24 shots. Nashville has lost three of its first four games, two of those setbacks coming in overtime.
