NBA: Denver 105, Houston 95

HOUSTON, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson scored 21 points Wednesday and Denver forced 22 turnovers in pulling away during the second half to down Houston 105-95.

The Rockets lost for the ninth time in 10 games while Denver has won eight of 10.

Denver trailed by a point early in the third period, but finished the quarter with a 16-point advantage.

Wilson Chandler added 20 points off the bench for the Nuggets, Danilo Gallinari had 18 and both Andre Iguodala and JaVale McGee contributed 14 each.

Denver produced the rare statistic of having more steals (13) then it had fouls (12).

James Harden led the Rockets with 23 points and Carlos Delfino scored 15.
