BOSTON, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Tyler Seguin and Patrice Bergeron scored in the shootout Monday, giving the Boston Bruins a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.

Seguin sent a wrist shot past Winnipeg goalie Ondrej Pavelec but B. Wheeler tied the shoot out with a backhand shot for the Jets. Bergeron worked the puck behind Pavelec for the Boston lead.

Bruins goalkeeper Tuukka Rask stopped Olli Jokinen's shot and a final Jets' attempt from Bryan Little hit a post.

Winnipeg grabbed the lead less than 2 minutes into the game when Chris Thorburn scored. Boston's Brad Marchard tied the score at 14:12 of the first period with a backhander off an assist from Seguin. The score stayed tied for the rest of regulation.

Pavelec and Rask each finished with 26 saves.
