ATLANTA, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Newly signed Jannero Pargo scored 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter Monday and the Atlanta Hawks came away with a 104-96 win over Minnesota.

The Hawks signed the 33-year-old journeyman guard to a 10-day contract before the game, and Pargo paid dividends immediately, draining four 3-pointers down the stretch to carry Atlanta to only its third win in 11 games.

Al Horford provided 28 points and 10 rebounds while Kyle Korver came off the bench to pop in a trio of treys en route to 14 points in the victory.

Mike Scott chipped in with 11 points and seven boards for the Hawks.

Derrick Williams put in 17 points and J.J. Barea added 14 and seven assists for the struggling Timberwolves, who fell for the sixth time in seven games.
