ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Justin Rose overcame a pair of late bogeys Saturday for a two-stroke lead going into the final round of the European Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.

Rose had five birdies in a six-hole span but also three bogeys in a 4-under-par 68. A birdie at the par-5 18th pushed his advantage to two strokes. He's at 12-under 204 for the tournament.

Jamie Donaldson and Thorbjorn Olesen each shot 69 Saturday and are two strokes back of Rose at 10-under. Thongchai Jaidee, with a third round of 6-under 66, moved into fourth at 9-under while David Howell (68 Saturday) and Richie Ramsey (67) are tied at 8-under 208.

Rose opened play Saturday with a bogey at the first hole but started a strong run with a birdie at the par-3 fourth hole. He added birdies at 5 and 6 -- both par 4s -- and two more at the eighth and ninth holes to make the turn in 32. He's birdied the 456-yard, par-4 ninth all three rounds.

He got to 5-under on the day with a birdie 2 at the 12th but slipped with bogeys at 13 and 17 before closing with a birdie.

Donaldson scattered four birdies, including a 4 at the 567-yard 18th, and one bogey across his scorecard Saturday while Olesen posted a second consecutive bogey-free round in keeping close to Rose.
