SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 20 points and Tim Duncan blocked seven shots in a stellar defensive effort that lifted San Antonio to a 106-88 win over Minnesota Sunday.

Parker notched six assists to five for Duncan, who also hauled down nine rebounds for the Spurs, who rebounded from an overtime loss Friday against Memphis.

Gary Neal came off the bench to pop in 15 points as San Antonio limited the Timberwolves to only 37.1 percent shooting from the floor.

J.J. Berea paced Minnesota with 15 points and Nikola Pekovic added 14 as the T-Wolves tumbled for the third consecutive game.

Terry Porter coached the squad in the absence of head Coach Rick Adelman, who has been on a leave of absence to be with his hospitalized wife.
