LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa say they have reconciled and are ending their divorce proceedings.

The Bryants had filed for divorce last month but said in separate social media postings this week they will stay together.

"I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family," the Los Angeles Lakers star said on Facebook. "When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers."

The divorce petition was filed about 10 years after allegations Kobe Bryant sexually assaulted a female hotel employee in Colorado. The criminal case was dismissed and he settled a lawsuit with the alleged victim, CNN said.

The Bryants have two daughters together.
