SYDNEY, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Dominika Cibulkova rolled to a win Wednesday becoming the only unseeded player to make the semifinals of the Apia International tennis tournament in Sydney.

The other of the quarterfinals played to form with three of the top four seeded players advancing to the semis.

No. 1-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska took a close 6-4, 7-5 decision over Roberta Vinci. Radwanska lost her serve just once. She fought off five break points in the first set while finishing off her lone break opportunity and had two more breaks in the second set.
