NBA: Denver 112, Los Angeles Lakers 105

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson's 21 points and 10 assists Sunday sparked the Denver Nuggets to a rare road win over the Los Angeles Lakers, 112-105.

Danilo Gallinari added 20 and six boards and JaVale McGee provided 17 and six off the bench for the Nuggets, who posted only their fifth win on the Lakers' home court since 1996.

Andre Miller delivered a double-double of 12 points and 10 assists in the win, while Andre Iguodala (15 points, seven helpers, six rebounds) and Corey Brewer (14, six boards) also had big nights for the Nuggets.

Kobe Bryant scored 29 points to go with seven assists for Los Angeles, which committed 18 turnovers in stumbling to its fourth loss in five games.

Dwight Howard hauled down 26 rebounds and scored 14 points, while Steve Nash dished off 13 assists for the Lakers.
