SYDNEY, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- No. 7-seeded Caroline Wozniacki advanced but fifth-seeded Petra Kvitova was ousted Sunday at the Apia International tennis tournament in Sydney.

Wozniacki rolled past Urszula Radwanska 6-1, 6-2, piling up five breaks in seven receiving games in opening day action of one of the final tune-ups before next week's Australian Open.

Wozniacki won two-thirds of the points on serve and nearly 60 percent when Radwanska served.

Dominika Cibulkova was 0-4 in her career versus Kvitova but came away a 6-1, 6-1 winner in just more than an hour. She also had five breaks and saved the only break point she faced.

Also Sunday, Maria Kirilenko defeated Olivia Rogowska 7-5, 6-2 and Ekaterina Makarova stopped Varvara Lepchenko 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
