Serena Williams, on record streak, remains No. 1

NEW YORK, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Brooklyn's Brook Lopez fired in 18 points and the Nets stayed hot under interim Coach P.J. Carlesimo with a 113-93 victory over Sacramento.
Six Nets in all reached double figures, including Joe Johnson, Deron Williams, Andray Blatche and MarShon Brooks with 15 points apiece.
Mirza Teletovic also helped out with a career-high 14 points as Brooklyn notched a fifth win in six games under Carlesimo, who replaced the fired Avery Johnson last month.
The Kings, meanwhile, saw their two-game winning streak snapped despite 28 points and 11 rebounds from DeMarcus Cousins. Jason Thompson helped out with 15 points.
