KAPALUA, Hawaii, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Play at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions was scrubbed for a second day Saturday due to high winds at the Plantation Course in Kapalua, Hawaii.

Officials decided to call off play before the 30 contestants even took to the course -- forcing the cancellation of a second consecutive day.

The tournament was cut to 54 holes Saturday.

Assuming the weather improves, the plan is to play 36 holes Sunday with play wrapping up Monday.
