WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson hit a jump shot with seven-tenths of a second remaining in the second overtime Friday, lifting Brooklyn to a 115-113 win over Washington.

The Wizards scored in the closing seconds of both the fourth period and the first overtime, but could not avoid losing their fourth in a row. Brooklyn has won four out of five since P.J. Carlesimo took over on an interim basis after the firing of Coach Avery Johnson.

Washington led for most of the contest, but needed a hook shot by Nene with less than a second left in the fourth period to force the first overtime. Bradley Beal then hit a 3-pointer for the Wizards with 1.9 seconds to go in the extra session to keep the game going.

Brooklyn led by as many as five points in the second overtime, but Beal tied it by hitting two free throws with 9.1 seconds left.

After Johnson hit the game-winner, Jordan Crawford missed a desperation attempt for the Wizards just before the buzzer.

Brook Lopez had 27 points and 13 rebounds to pace Brooklyn, while Deron Williams added 24. Johnson had 18.

Beal produced 24 points for Washington, which cost itself a chance at victory by making only 18-of-31 from the foul line.
