BOSTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo both scored 18 points Friday and contributed to a Boston defensive effort that brought the Celtics a 94-75 win over Indiana.

Boston ended a four-game losing streak, during which the Celtics were outscored 19.7 points per contest.

The Celtics limited Indiana to a 31 percent shooting effort from the field. The Pacers missed 11-of-28 shots from the foul line and were only 4-of-17 from 3-point range.

Boston turned a one-point deficit after one period into a 12-point halftime lead and coasted from there. Paul Pierce and Courtney Lee added 13 points each for the Celtics.

The Pacers, who had won two in a row and eight out of 11 to take the lead in the Central Division, was led by 19 points off the bench by Tyler Hansbrough. David West was the only other Indiana player in double figures with 10 points. He made just 4-of-18 shots.
