PHOENIX, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Luis Scola continued his recent outburst with 21 points Wednesday and Phoenix held on down the stretch to defeat Philadelphia 95-89.

Scola had not scored 20 points in a game since Nov. 14 before producing 33 against Minnesota last week. He then delivered 24 points against Oklahoma City before reaching 20 again on Wednesday. Scola made 7-of-10 from the field and missed just once in eight free throw attempts.

Goran Dragic added 10 points and six assists for Phoenix, which had lost six in a row.

Philadelphia closed within two points with 2:14 to play, but could not score again until 38 seconds remained.

Jrue Holiday had a triple-double for the 76ers with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Philadelphia fell to 2-4 on an eight-game road trip that has stops remaining in Oklahoma City and San Antonio.
