Scott Sterling, son of Clippers owner Don Sterling, found dead of overdose

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Scott Sterling, the son of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, has been found dead in Malibu, Calif., a spokesman for the team said Wednesday.

Scott Sterling, 32, was discovered by police officers who went to a home in the beach-side community early Wednesday, CNN reported.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 12:42 a.m. PST, the Los Angeles Coroner's Office said.

Sterling died of an "apparent drug overdose," the coroner's office and the sheriff's department said in a press release.
