LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Philadelphia's Jrue Holiday provided 26 points with 10 assists Tuesday and the 76ers held off the Los Angeles Lakers 103-99.

Evan Turner supplied 22 points, 13 rebounds and five helpers and Spencer Hawes sank 21-foot jump shot with 1:12 remaining to blunt a Lakers comeback try and secure the victory for the Sixers.

Hawes finished with 13 points, six assists and five rebounds as Philadelphia improved to 2-3 on an eight-game road trip.

Kobe Bryant struck for 36 points on 14-of-29 shooting for Los Angeles, which made only 3-of-22 three-point attempts in falling for the second time in three contests.
