BOSTON, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Mike Conley hit three 3-pointers, handed out 10 assists and scored 23 points Wednesday in boosting Memphis to a 93-83 decision over Boston.

The Celtics lost their fourth in a row, dropped to three games below .500 and slipped closer to last place in the Atlantic Division.

Memphis limited Boston to 15 points in the second quarter and led by as many as 18 points in the fourth period.

Conley's 23 points were the most he has scored in a game this season and it was only the third time this year he had reached 20. Rudy Gay added 19 for the Grizzlies and Tony Allen had 15.

Boston, which managed just three offensive rebounds, was led by 17 points from Paul Pierce.
