CHENNAI, India, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- No. 8-seeded Go Soeda needed less than an hour Monday to post a first-round victory at the Aircel Chennai Open tennis tournament in India.

Soeda swept past Evgeny Donskoy 6-1, 6-2 in 59 minutes. He landed just 44 percent of his first serves but still managed to win nearly three-quarters of the points on serve and didn't suffer a service break.
