GREEN BAY, Wis., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Star linebacker Clay Matthews will be available for the Green Bay Packers when they take on the Chicago Bears this weekend, the Packers said.

Matthews was moved up to "probable" status Friday after a good practice and will be in uniform for Sunday's key NFC North tilt at Soldier Field.

Matthews missed the last four games due to a stubborn hamstring sprain. His return could be bad news for the Bears since he recorded 3 ½ sacks when the two teams met in Week 2.

Green Bay can clinch the division championship if they win Sunday, but they will be without defensive back Charles Woodson and wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who also has a hamstring issue that will require at least another week of rest.
