Feng moves to No. 5 in women's golf

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Feng Shanshan won for the second time on the Ladies European Tour, boosting her women's world golf ranking to No. 5.

Feng claimed the Dubai Ladies Masters, the last event on the 2012 Ladies European Tour calendar, by five strokes. All four of her rounds were better than 68.

The win was the eighth overall as a professional for Feng. She won the World Ladies Championship in China last March, which was also a Ladies European Tour event.

She passed Suzann Pettersen, who slipped to sixth, for fifth place in the world rankings. That was the only change in the Top 10 this week.

Yani Tseng tops the rankings for a 96th week. She has a rankings points average of 11.44. Choi Na-yeon is second at 9.53 followed by Stacy Lewis (8.90) and Inbee Park (8.39).

Feng's points average is 7.57 and Pettersen comes in at 7.43.

Jiyai Shin (7.05) is ranked No. 7, not far ahead of No. 8 Ryu So-yeon (6.98) and ninth-ranked Ai Miyazato (6.94). Mika Miyazato is ranked 10th with an average of 6.14.
