O'Hair-Perry hang on for Shootout victory

NAPLES, Fla., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Second-round leaders Sean O'Hair and Kenny Perry hung on for a one-stroke win Sunday at the Franklin Templeton Shootout after combining for a 12-under 60.

The tandem cruised through Sunday's scramble, finishing at 31-under-par 185 on the Gold Course at Tiburon Golf Club.

Perry won the event for the third time with a different teammate, while O'Hair logged his first win at the shootout.

Posting the low round of the day was the team of Charles Howell III and Rory Sabbatini. The pair ended one shot off the pace at minus-30 following a combined round of 15-under 57.

Sole possession of third place went to Jason Dufner-Vijay Singh, who registered a 13-under 59 to end at minus-28.

Tied for fourth place one shot further back were Jerry Kelly-Steve Stricker (14-under 58), Stewart Cink-Carl Pettersson (60) and Davis Love III-Brandt Snedeker (62).
