ST. MORITZ, Switzerland, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Slovenia's Tina Maze notched her third Alpine World Cup victory of the young season Friday, winning the women's super combined at St. Moritz.

Maze conquered the challenging flat light on the famed Swiss course in a combined two-run time of 2 minutes, 1.76 seconds, well ahead of Nicole Hosp and Kathrin Zettel of Austria.

Maze finished the super G portion of the event in 1:19.06 and followed up with a 42.70 in the slalom run to grab the overall victory by 0.88 over Hosp.

Julia Mancuso was the top U.S. finisher in 11th place. Lindsey Vonn was in fourth after the super G but skied out on the slalom and did not finish. The result dropped her to fourth in the overall World Cup standings.
