NBA: Golden State 104, Detroit 97

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Klay Thompson was one of three Golden State players with at least 20 points Wednesday and the Warriors stayed hot by defeating Detroit 104-97.

Golden State has won eight of its last 11 and built an 18-point lead heading into the fourth quarter of this one. Detroit closed to within three with a minute to play, but two free throws each from Jarrett Jack and Stephen Curry ended the Pistons' comeback bid.

Thompson made five 3-pointers and scored 27 points. He was backed up by Curry with 22 points and 10 assists while David Lee had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Tayshaun Prince produced 24 points for Detroit and the next four leading scorers for the Pistons all came off the bench.
