DENVER, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Corey Brewer led a balanced Denver attack with 19 points Monday and the Nuggets managed to hold off Toronto, 113-110.

Denver led most of the way but dissipated a 19-point advantage in the second half as the Raptors' Amir Johnson drained a 3-pointer with 7.9 remaining, cutting Denver's lead to just two points at 112-110.

Kenneth Faried (18 points, 10 rebounds) then could hit just one of two free throws for the Nuggets, allowing Toronto's DeMar DeRozan a potential game-tying 3-point try at the buzzer, which bounced off the rim.

JaVale McGee supplied 17 points and Ty Lawson helped out with 16 as Denver halted a three-game skid.

Kyle Lowry pumped in 24 points, Andrea Bargnani donated 23 and DeRozan finished with 18 points and seven boards for the Raptors, who remained winless in Denver since Dec. 30, 2003.
