BANGOR, Maine, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, who died last week a murder-suicide, was cited for several disturbances while in college, records indicate.

Police say Belcher killed his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins in their Kansas City home Saturday before going to Arrowhead Stadium, where he shot himself in the presence of the team's coach and general manager.

Belcher's name appeared at least three times on police reports released by his alma mater, the University of Maine, The Bangor (Maine) Daily News reported Monday.

It said the records show that while a freshman in 2006, Belcher was upset over a woman and punched a dormitory window. A report from the next year indicated officers responded to a noise complaint involving Belcher and his girlfriend.

A third report showed a request by Belcher to be let into a building.

In the 2006 incident, police wrote "Belcher was upset over a girl and punched a window out. There was a lot of blood outside of the west entrance and in the lobby" of the dorm hall.

Former Black Bears teammate Mike Brusko told the newspaper the incident followed a bout of heavy drinking.
