
DENVER, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning struck for three touchdown passes Sunday and Denver clinched its second straight AFC West crown with a 31-23 win over Tampa Bay.
Manning completed 27-of-38 passes for 242 yards and an interception. He hit Demaryius Thomas eight times for 99 yards and two scores as the Broncos (9-3) claimed their 12th all-time divisional title.
The Denver signal-caller surpassed Dan Marino for second place on the career completion list with 4,986.
Knowshon Moreno ran for 69 yards and added 14 more on four pass receptions for the Broncos.
The Buccaneers (6-6) fell despite two TD passes from Josh Freeman, who finished 18-of-39 through the air for 242 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Tampa Bay's loss handed the NFC South title to the Atlanta Falcons.
