NBA: Dallas 92, Detroit 77

DALLAS, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- O.J. Mayo pumped in 27 points for Dallas Saturday and the Mavericks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 92-77 cruise over Detroit.

Elton Brand provided a double-double of 17 and 12 rebounds, and Vince Carter chipped in 12 points and five assists for Dallas.

Chris Kaman also reached double figures with 10 points and nine boards in the victory.

Sixteen-year veteran Derek Fisher made his first appearance for Dallas since being signed as a free agent this week, supplying two points and three assists in 24 minutes.

The Pistons, meanwhile, dropped their second straight despite 20 points from Brandon Knight.

Jason Maxiell added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the losers.
