CHICAGO, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher said he plans to appeal a $15,750 fine imposed for a horse-collar tackle against Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

The fine stemmed from an incident in the fourth quarter of the Bears' 28-10 win over the Vikings Sunday.

Urlacher said he is "for sure appealing" the fine, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

Bears defensive tackle Henry Melton also drew a fine on a play involving Peterson. Melton was assessed $8,000 for grabbing the Viking runner's face mask during the third quarter.
