NBA: Utah 96, New Orleans 84

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson helped Utah build a 16-point lead through three quarters Wednesday and the Jazz went on to defeat New Orleans 96-84.

Utah won for the fifth time in six games. The Jazz have not lost at home in six games this season, but this was only their third road victory in 10 tries.

Jefferson scored 19 points and seized seven rebounds. Paul Millsap and Marvin Williams both added 16 points with Millsap contributing eight boards.

New Orleans has just one victory in its last nine games. The Hornets were led by 18 points each from Greivis Vasquez and Robin Lopez.

The Jazz built on a two-point halftime lead by outscoring New Orleans 31-17 in the third period.
