VIRGINIA WATER, England, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Luke Donald edged past Tiger Woods for the No. 2 spot in men's world golf rankings, which were updated Monday.

Neither golfer played last week but adjustments to earlier results cost Woods while Donald increased his scoring average to 9.058. Woods, who was at 9.119 last week, is currently at 9.001.

The European Tour had two events last week but the PGA Tour is off until the World Challenge starting Nov. 29. The European Tour wraps up its 2012 calendar this week at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

Rory McIlroy highlights the field in Dubai. He's No. 1 in the rankings with an average of 12.587.

Lee Westwood remains fourth with an average of 6.601 followed by No. 5 Adam Scott (6.593) and sixth-ranked Louis Oosthuizen (6.150) while Justin Rose (6.083) comes in seventh.

All of the first seven in the rankings, except for Woods and Scott, are entered in the World Tour Championship.

Jason Dufner has an average of 5.825 and is ranked eighth. Webb Simpson (5.711) moves up one place to ninth, pushing Brandt Snedeker (5.637) to 10th.

Miguel Angel Jimenez won his third UBS Hong Kong Open Sunday and goes from 98th to No. 58 in the rankings while Henrik Stenson claimed the SA Open Championship in South Africa and improves his ranking 42 places to No. 71.
